We found the positive effect of educational training program based on HBM led to promoting self-care behavior for dementia prevention in people with T2DM. After educational training, both perception of health belief and dementia prevention behaviors scores were improved, suggesting the effectiveness of the dementia preventive-educational training for the intervention group participants.

1) people with T2DM who had been treated with medication or insulin, and there was no limitation for the duration of diabetes since early dementia prevention suggests greater benefits for these participants; 2) individuals who could communicate in Thai, which included reading, speaking, and listening in Thai; 3) individuals who had no visual or severe hearing problems; 4) individuals who agreed to participate by signing the consent form.
1) individuals who had been diagnosed with depression, stroke, Parkinson disease 2) individuals who had a history of dementia, brain infection, brain injury, or psychiatric illness, as well as those with a family history of dementia 3) individuals with a baseline TMSE score of at least 23 indicating dementia.
