Patients giving written informed consent.
Patients undergoing elective surgery for fracture of femur unable to sit for spinal anaesthesia due to severe pain(VAS >7).
ASA Grade I & II.
Patients with multiple injuries.
Patients with history of known allergic to study drugs.
Patients with compromised renal, cardiac and respiratory status like asthma, recent MI, conduction disturbances, CVA, severe coronary insufficiency, chronic renal insufficiency.
Patients with general contraindication for spinal anaesthesia.
