Inclusion Criteria

Both gender; age range between 18 and 35 years old; amateur soccer practitioners, with a minimum frequency of twice a week; clinical and imaging diagnosis by magnetic resonance imaging of traumatic lesion of the anterior cruciate ligament.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients submitted to meniscal suture, asymmetric varus alignment above 10 degrees, degrees III and IV cartilage lesions (ICRS) in femoral condyles and (or) tibial plateaus; history of knee surgery; associated capsular-ligamentary lesions: posterolateral, medial collateral ligament in grade III and posterior cruciate ligament.
