Inclusion Criteria
All children aged less than or equal to 12 years admitted to the PICU.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Children with hematological malignancies.
2. Children on immunosuppressant such as corticosteroids, myeloablative therapy
3. Children who receive repeated transfusions like thalassemia major, Aplastic anemia
4. Received RBC transfusion prior to PICU admission but related to current ailment of the patient, for example transfusions in operating room.
