Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Implants and prosthetic restoration
  • •\- Implants at least 3 years under load
  • •\- Implants without clinical signs of inflammation
  • •\- Implants without radiological bone resorption
  • •\- Implants with machined smooth surface, parallel walls and hexagonal external connection (Brånemark Mark II and III, Nobel Biocare Zurich, Switzerland)
  • •\- Implants with rough surface, parallel\-walled and three\-channel internal connection (Nobel Replace, Nobel Biocare Nobel Biocare Zurich, Switzerland)
  • •\- Implants with lengths of 10 to 15 mm and diameters of 3\.75 or 5 mm
  • •\- Implants inserted epicrestally
  • •\- Fixed prosthetic restorations (single crowns and bridges)
  • •\- Over 21 years of age at the time of implant placement

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Systemic diseases (e.g. cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis), untreated caries, pregnancy, current orthodontic treatment, drug and alcohol abuse, regular use of medication, mental illness, smokers.
