1.All healthy appropriate for gestational age babies born at gestational age of 34-36 weeks
2.Singleton baby
3.Exclusively or predominantly breastfed since birth and willing to continue it until 6 months of age.
1.Maternal Hb <9gm/dl at the time of childbirth, Antepartum Haemorrhage (APH).
2.Newborn condition like sepsis, meconium aspiration syndrome, congenital infections, genetic abnormalities, gross congenital anomaly, Apgar score <3 at one minute or <7 at 5 minutes.
3.Hb <10.5gm/dl or other haematological disorder in an infant at enrolment
