Observational study to assess the complications during modified technique of rapid induction and intubation in newborn babies and infants less than one year of age undergoing abdominal surgeries.

One hundred and thirty three neonates (birth to 28 days of age) and infants (29 days to 1 year of age) with a high risk of gastric regurgitation and pulmonary aspiration posted for emergency surgeries like malrotation, volvulus, Hirschsprung disease, meconium ileus, pyloric stenosis, etc or elective abdominal surgeries such as large abdominal tumors with abdominal distension will be included in this study
1)Preoperative respiratory complications. such as tracheoesophageal fistula, congenital diaphragmatic hernia
2)Cyanotic heart disease.
3)Preoperative mechanical ventilation.
4)Any anticipated difficult airway
