Inclusion Criteria
Adult patients above 18 years with mallampati grading I and II requiring ICU admission and endotracheal intubation for mechanical ventilation.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients with reduced mouth opening <5 cm and mallampatti grading
3 and above.
2.Traumatic injury to face making direct laryngoscopy difficult.
3.Insufficient time for inclusion and randomization.
4.Contraindication to orotracheal intubation
5.Unstable cervical spine
6.Refusal to participate in study by next kin
7.Urgent airway access is required
