The inclusion criteria were as follows:
[1] age =18 years
[2] evidence of cerebral infarction or intracerebral hemorrhage on magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography
[3] able to cooperate with skeletal muscle mass index (SMI) and HGS measurements
[1] Pre-stroke functional limitation, assessed as modified Rankin Scale score =3
[2] metal implants
[3] active comorbid disease, such as active tuberculosis, autoimmune disease, chronic inflammatory disease, malignancy, and immunosuppressive therapy
[4] severe disturbance of consciousness or communication disorders, such as global aphasia.
