Inclusion Criteria
All admitted adult patients in the department of General Surgery, who will be prescribed Cephalosporins.
Patients giving consent for participation in study.
Exclusion Criteria
Patient enrolled in any other study.
Non cooperative patient.

Name Time Method To study the drug prescribing pattern of Cephalosporins in Inpatient department of General Surgery as per WHO core indicators: <br/ ><br>A. Average number of drugs per encounter. <br/ ><br>B. Percentage of drugs prescribed by generic name. <br/ ><br>C. Percentage of encounters with an antimicrobial prescribed. <br/ ><br>D. Percentage of encounters with an injection prescribed. <br/ ><br>E. Percentage of drugs prescribed from Essential Drugs List (EDL), Rajasthan. (According to 22nd list, 2022) <br/ ><br>To study the use of different generations of Cephalosporins.Timepoint: 6 Months
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To describe the duration of administration of Cephalosporins. <br/ ><br>To describe switchover of route of administration, if done. <br/ ><br>To assess antimicrobial culture and sensitivity, if done. <br/ ><br>To assess the hypersensitivity test, if done. <br/ ><br>To assess the use of concomitantly given antimicrobials/ other drugs, for any drug interactions, if any. <br/ ><br>To assess the sociodemographic profile correlated with the study patients. <br/ ><br>To study and report adverse drug reactions, if any with Cephalosporins.Timepoint: 6 Months
