Comparison of Trans Cranial Doppler with Near Infrared Spectroscopy, BI-Spectral Index and Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter in predicting raised Intra Cranial Pressure related mortality in Acute Liver Failure patient.

简要总结

Studies are scarce and limited data is available about the use of different noninvasive neuromonitoring devices in acute liver failure patients and their correlation in predicting the outcome.

All acute liver failure patients getting admitted in the ICU will be attached Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Bis electrodes and their charting will be done every hourly.

Optic nerve sheath diameter and Pulsatality index values will be noted at admission and every 6hourly till the final outcome of the patient.

These parameters will be observed in operation theatre if patient goes for Liver transplant.

  • Acute Liver Failure Patients.

  • Acute on Chronic Liver Failure Patients.
  • Transcranial Doppler Window cannot be obtained.

时间窗: Outcome will be assessed at baseline and every 6hourly

次要结局

  • Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter & TransCranial Doppler values will be compared.(Degree of agreement between Optic Nerve Sheath diameter, PI values, BIS & NIRS)
