To develop the process map of the care process for patients with intentional self harm presenting at Emergency Department.

Objectives

1. To understand admission, treatment and discharge process of patient with ISH
2. To identify the delays and gaps in receiving mental health services for patients with ISH
3. To Develop a visual process map of the care pathway of the patients with ISH presenting at Emergency Department.

participants

health professionals in kasturba hospital in manipal. who are directly working with ISH patients and known about their case process

Statistical methods

The collected data will first be analyzed through narrative mapping, where the information is written in a descriptive manner to understand the care process in detail. this will be followed by process mapping, which involves visually representing the care pathway using specific symbols and flow diagrams that carry particular meanings.
