Inclusion Criteria
elective surgery under general anesthesia (total intravenous or balanced general anesthesia)
- ASA status I, II or III
- Invasive continuous radial artery blood pressure measurement independent of the study
- Patient consent
Exclusion Criteria
- Circulatory disorder of the hands
- Atrial fibrillation or other higher-grade cardiac arrhythmia
- Higher-grade clinically relevant valvular heart disease
- Severe peripheral arterial occlusive disease (Fontaine stage > 3)
- Central spinal regional anesthesiological procedures
