Brief Summary

This study will compare the effects of Yoga onground-level activities and balance in patients with subacute and chronicstroke. The study will be conducted for 12 weeks 2-3 day/week supervisedprogram for 60 minutes. The intervention will be Yoga techniques andconventional physiotherapy for the experimental group and conventional physiotherapy for the control group. Theprimary outcome measure will be MGMGLAE. The secondary outcome measure willbe the Modified Ashworth Scale MAS Spasticity, SMC/VCA- Synergy Movement analysisprofile Trunk Impairment Scale TIS Kinovea software Power-track handheldDynamometer-Muscle Strength of lower extremity Mini BES Test Scale. Pre and Post-intervention results will be analyzed.

Inclusion Criteria

Population Stroke patients (subacute and chronic stroke) According to ICD 10 classification Middle cerebral artery syndrome (G460), Anterior cerebral artery syndrome(G461), Posterior cerebral artery syndrome(G462) MMSE score greater than or equal to 24 points i.e. normal cognition Functional independence measure score greater than or equal to 100 Brunnstrom Stage of the lower extremity: stage 3-stage 6 Both male and female participants will be included.

Exclusion Criteria
  • Acute stroke patients (24 hours- 3 month) According to ICD 10 classification Code:(163) Hemorrhagic stroke patients -According to ICD 10 classification Code: (161.9) Juvenile and Adolescents population.
  • Patients with history of lower limb fractures < 1 year old.
  • Patient with h/o recent soft tissue injury < 3 months Patient h/o rheumatic disease (M06.9) Mental and Behavioral disorders F00-F99.
