Inclusion Criteria

American society of Anaesthesiologist (ASA) grade I or II.

Either sex.

Patient posted for elective urologic endoscopic surgeries.

Exclusion Criteria

Patients with contraindications of any type to Spinal anaesthesia

Obesity (BMI >30kg/m2)

Patient on clonidine as antihypertensive

Patients receiving opioids for chronic analgesic therapy

Allergy or intolerance to local anaesthetics

Patients on beta blocker or known cardiac dysrhythmia

Primary Outcome Measures

To Compare effects of both groups according to:- <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>1.Incidence of shivering following spinal anaesthesia <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>2.Severity of shivering following spinal anaesthesia by Crossley Mahajan scale <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>3.Level of sedation by Ramsay sedation scale <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>4.Temperature monitoring <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>5.Onset and duration of sensory block <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>6.Onset and duration of motor block <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>7.Incidence of complications-hypotension, bradycardia, nausea, vomiting <br/ ><br>Timepoint: 1.Shivering intensity monitored every 5mins for first 15mins and then every 15mins for next 4hrs after the block. <br/ ><br>2.Sedation level observed and recorded every 30min for 4hrs after the block. <br/ ><br>3.Heart rate,systolic BP, diastolic BP,Mean arterial pressure and temperature monitored every 5mins for 4hrs after the block.
