Inclusion Criteria

Depression: both genders; aged over 18 years; minimum depression score at moderate level on the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. Substance use disorder: both genders; aged over 18 years; minimum pattern of alcohol risk consumption by the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test; moderate problem in the consumption of other drugs by the Drug Abuse Screening Test

Exclusion Criteria

Use of medication to treat symptoms of depression or anxiety or alcohol or other drug use; being undergoing psychological treatment; be performing any other alternative practice for the treatment of the symptoms to be treated in the study; not being present in at least six meetings out of the total of eight; refusal to receive the technique in which he was randomly included
