Patients with idiopathic heartfailure undergoing routine analysis (including cardiac biopsies).
Patients with or without heartfailure undergoing elective cardio-thoracic surgery.

Exclusion Criteria

Emergency cardiothoracic surgery
Pregnancy or lactation
