- •Guideline-compliant surgery for the definitive treatment of a fracture of a large tubular bone (femoral neck, humerus, etc.) under general anaesthesia of any surgical urgency classification; patients capable of giving informed written consent; Age >= 65 years

- •Participation in another prospective interventional study involving the cardiovascular system; placement by court or official order; previous participation in TRANSONIC; patients who do not speak German
