Inclusion Criteria

Adult patients (18-70 years) undergoing major non-cardiac surgery defined by major head and neck surgeries, or major intracavitary (abdominal and thoracic) surgeries lasting for more than two hours and/or an expected hospital stay of at least three days.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Patients undergoing emergency surgeries.

2.Patients undergoing cardiac and neurosurgeries.

3.Pregnant patients.

4.Patients who cannot be extubated at the end of 24 hours (since the QoR is a questionnaire which needs the patient’s co-operation).

To determine the correlation of phase angle (PhA) measured preoperatively with the quality of recovery-15 (QoR)-15 measured at 24 hours after surgery.Timepoint: Postoperatively at 24 hours
