- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To assess the proportion of heme oxygenase-1 functional polymorphisms with genotype in case and control groupTimepoint: From the previous study [Schillinger et al, 2002], we assumed this proportion in controls to be 5%. Assuming an odds ratio of 5, a power of 80% and a 5% level of significance, the total sample size was 96 (32 cases and 64 controls).

Schillinger M, Exner M, Mlekusch W, Domanovits H, Huber K, Mannhalter C, Et Al. - Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To study the polymorphisms in relation to the severity of the disease. (claudicants & critical limb ischaemia)Timepoint: 2 years
