1. Patients who require central venous catheter placement in the Internal Jugular vein or Subclavian vein.
2. Ventilated or Non-ventilated patients.
3. Patients of either sex between the age group 18-60 years.
1. Inability to perform test due to Obesity.
2. Inability to visualise Heart due to anatomical limitations.
3. Patients with contraindication for CVC placement(coagulopathy,Hemorrhage
from target vessel,Suspected proximal vascular injury,infection overlying the
insertion site,thrombus within intended vein)
4. Patient with chest trauma/Subcutaneus emphysema(which can make USG
interpretation difficult)
5. Refusal for procedure by patient or patientââ?¬•s relatives.

Name Time Method Microbubbles will be visible in right atriumTimepoint: Microbubbles have to be visible with in 10 seconds of saline flush from distal port of cvc
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Microbubbles cannot be visible if cvc is not properly placedTimepoint: Cvc can be checked for misplacement after 10 seconds of saline flush without microbubbles
