Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.The 65 year\-old or older patients
- •2\.Expected to stay in SICU for more than 24 hours
- •3\.Hemodynamic stable
- •4\.Respiratory system stability
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Inability to walk without assistance before acute ICU illness (use of a cane or walkers were not excluded)
- •2\.Currently on prednisone \> 20 mg/day at least for 2 weeks
- •3\.Neuromuscular disease
- •4\.Acute stroke
- •5\.Increase intracranial pressure
- •6\.Limb amputation
- •7\.Hyperactive delirium
