Inclusion Criteria
1.The 65 year-old or older patients
2.Expected to stay in SICU for more than 24 hours
3.Hemodynamic stable
4.Respiratory system stability
Exclusion Criteria
1.Inability to walk without assistance before acute ICU illness (use of a cane or walkers were not excluded)
2.Currently on prednisone > 20 mg/day at least for 2 weeks
3.Neuromuscular disease
4.Acute stroke
5.Increase intracranial pressure
6.Limb amputation
7.Hyperactive delirium
