propofol is the commomest intravenous inducing agent for general anesthesia. however 3 out of 5 patients complain of pain on its injection. we want to study the effect of thermotherapy in reducing the pain of propofol injection

Inclusion Criteria
1.Age 18-65 2.ASA I, II & III 3.Elective Surgeries 4.Undergoing general anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Not willing to participate 2.Any local site infection 3.Allergy to eggs 4.Rapid Sequence Induction 5.Anticipated difficulty in venous access.

Name Time Method to assess the reduction in the severity of pain after propofol injection due to application of Ice-gel pack causing local cooling 10 secs after propofol injection (25% of calculated dose)
