Premature infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit
Weight under 1500 grams
Age under 31 weeks
Infants with congenital heart defects, congenital major abnormalities or chromosomal abnormalities
Infants whose mothers have a history of using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs during pregnancy
Infants with hydrops fetalis
Infants with Apgar scores greater than 5 at five minutes after birth
Infants with symptomatic PDA require treatment with ibuprofen
Infants have vomiting or hematems in the first three days of birth
Infants with high levels of liver enzymes
