1. Patient of depression (PHQ_9 scoring more than or equal to 10)
2. Patients on Stable medications for since last one month or drug naïve.
3. Patients have common medical co_morbidities in below mentioned range will also be
enrolled.
BMI less than or equal to 30kg/m2 for the participants in case of obesity.
Controlled hypertension (less than or equal to 140/90 mm/hg)
Controlled diabetes (FBS less than or equal to 126mg/dl/ PP less than or equal to 200mg/dl)
Controlled Hypothyroidism (TSH less than 10 microIU per litre)
1. Clinically diagnosable or self_reported visual or auditory impairment
2. Patient with uncontrolled diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism and severe obesity.
3. Currently pregnant or postpartum state or lactating women.
4. History of substance abuse and dependence or violent behavior.
5. Patients with suicidal ideation or tendency.
6. Medical conditions which hamper practice of Yoga such as malignancies, arthritis,
low back pain.
7. Conditions where Shirodhara was contraindicated such as neck pain, abrasions or
cuts on the head and acute conditions such as nausea, vomiting and excessive
exhausted, allergic to oil.
