Inclusion Criteria
Adult patients aged between 18 to 65 years of either sex having ASA physical status 1 and 2 undergoing elective laparoscopic surgeries under general anaesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
1) Patients with any neuropsychiatric disorder or on neuropsychotic medication, with ear related diseases.
2) Preganancy
3) Patient on beta blocker therapy
4) Patients unwilling to listen music

Name Time Method To compare the effects of self selected music and prefixed music on reduction of perioperative anxiety score in Indian adult patients undergoing laparoscopic surgeries under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: Preoperative anxiety score will be taken in preop room and after shifting the patient to operation theatre (after attaching the monitors)
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To compare the impact of self selected music and prefixed music on haemodynamic stability, serum cortisol levels, postoperative nausea and vomiting and postoperative pain in Indian adult patients undergoing laparoscopic surgeries under general anaesthesia.Timepoint: The data of SBP, DBP, MAP and HR will be noted in pre operative room (T1), pre induction period inside OR after attaching monitors(T2),just 10 minutes after induction (T3), 5 minutes after extubation(T4), 1 hour (T5) and 2 hour after the end of surgery (T6) <br/ ><br>2) Serum cortisol levels will be sent in preoperative period after listening to 20 minutes of music and 1 hour after surgery. <br/ ><br>3) PONV score and pain score will be taken 1 hour and 2hour after surgery.
