- Procedure: Muscle Energy TechniqueProcedure: Trigger Point ReleaseProcedure: Self-Stretching of Calf and Plantar Fascia
- Registration Number
- NCT05050331
- Lead Sponsor
- University of Faisalabad
- Brief Summary
Objective of this study was to compare the treatment effectiveness of MET and triggers point release in PF. A single blinded, randomized clinical design was conducted. Thirty patients was randomly allocated into two groups. One group received muscle energy technique and the other receive trigger point release, while both groups performed self-stretching exercises as a home plan. Their pain and foot function serve as outcome measure. Treatment was given for 4 weeks, 3 sessions per week.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Foot Pain Four Weeks Numeric Pain Rating Scale served as the primary outcome measure, with decreasing values indicating improved patient condition and reduced pain intensity
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Foot Function Four Weeks Foot function index was utilized as a secondary outcome measure, with decreasing scores indicating improved foot function and reduced functional impairment as patient condition improves
