- T2DM patients age (21-65) years
- Stable renal function in the last 6 months prior to the study.
- Stable dose of medication for the past 3 months.
- Female of childbearing age must have effective contraceptive during the trial.
- Patients on oral hypoglycemic agents and a single insulin dose (basal insulin).
- Those have intolerance or allergy to the product.
- Pregnant women.
- Patients with end-stage complications.
- Multiple insulin dosage.
- Newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes.
- Patients taking Aspirin and warfarin to avoid any possible interaction or thinning effect from n-3 PUFA in the chia seeds.
