Study Overview

Brief Summary

This randomized clinical trial will aim to evaluate the combined effect of Deep Transverse Friction Massage (DTFM) and eccentric exercise on pain and function in patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis. Thirty participants diagnosed with tennis elbow will be randomly assigned to an intervention group receiving DTFM with eccentric exercise or a control group receiving standard care for four weeks. Pain intensity and functional status will be assessed using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Patient Rated Tennis Elbow Evaluation (PRTEE) questionnaire before and after the intervention.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Age between 30 to 60 years Both the gender Patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis with persistent pain Patient positive with cozen test and mills test Visual analogue scale more than 3.

Exclusion Criteria

  • History of fracture of radius, ulna and humerus with resultant deformity of the affected extremity Previous surgery or trauma to the region Bilateral symptomatic lateral epicondylitis Cervical radiculopathy Local steroid injection for pain relief.
