Inclusion Criteria
Multiple myeloma, newly diagnosed; previously untreated. Acute myeloid leukemia, newly diagnosed; ineligible to intensive chemotherapy; 60 years-old or higher
Exclusion Criteria
Cognitive impairment compromising responses to clinical questionaires

Name Time Method Evaluation of Survival outcomes. The study supposes that early palliative care intervention might result in greater patient survival;Evaluation of Quality of life according to The Palliative Performance Scale, The Edmonton Symptom Assessment System and the functional assessment of cancer therapy.
