Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Right elective laparoscopic colectomies
  • 2\.ASA 1 and 2
  • 3\.Patients of either gender with age up to 60 years of age
  • 4\.Willing to give consent
  • 5\.Patients who can be telephonically approached
  • 6\.Patients who can reach health center within 1 hour or reach PGIMER Chandigarh within 1 day
  • 7\.Includes all benign and malignant diseases.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Need for stoma making
  • Need for stoma making
  • 2\. Laparoscopy converted to open colectomy
  • 3\.Patients who are not willing to provide consent for the study.
  • 4\. ASA more than 2
  • 5\. Pregnant patients
  • 6\. Patients with CAD
  • 7\. Patients belonging to remote geographical areas
  • 8\. Patients with elevated postoperative day 2 CRP and Procalcitonin levels
  • 9\. ICU admission
