Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Right elective laparoscopic colectomies
  • •2\.ASA 1 and 2
  • •3\.Patients of either gender with age up to 60 years of age
  • •4\.Willing to give consent
  • •5\.Patients who can be telephonically approached
  • •6\.Patients who can reach health center within 1 hour or reach PGIMER Chandigarh within 1 day
  • •7\.Includes all benign and malignant diseases.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Need for stoma making
  • •Need for stoma making
  • •2\. Laparoscopy converted to open colectomy
  • •3\.Patients who are not willing to provide consent for the study.
  • •4\. ASA more than 2
  • •5\. Pregnant patients
  • •6\. Patients with CAD
  • •7\. Patients belonging to remote geographical areas
  • •8\. Patients with elevated postoperative day 2 CRP and Procalcitonin levels
  • •9\. ICU admission
