•ASA (American society of anaesthesiologist) grade I/II.
•Age between 18 years to 60 years.
•Any of sexes.
•Patients undergoing elective surgeries under general anaesthesia requiring nasotrachealintubation.

•Any allergy to drugs of general anaesthesia.
•Known difficult mask ventilation or tracheal intubation.
•Anticipated difficult airway.
•BMI >25 kg/m2.
•Neck range of motion < 30 degrees.
•Mallampati grade score III and IV.
•Neck circumference > 40 cm.
•Thyromental distance <6 cm.
•Cervical spine instability or cervical myelopathy.
•Patients with history of respiratory insufficiency/ reactive airway disease.
•Patients with any nasal pathology such as symptomatic gross deviated nasal septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, epistaxis, recurrent sinusitis, polyps etc.
