Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patients between 18 and 60 years of age of either sex
- •2\.American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I and II
- •3\.Undergoing elective surgery under SAB
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Existing psychiatric disorder
- •2\.On medications such as beta blockers, antidepressants, cardiac or psychiatric drugs
- •3\.Unable to read and fill the questionnaire on their own in English or the local language (Tamil).
- •4\.Those refusing to give consent for the study
- •5\.Significant cardiovascular or neurological disease
- •6\.Pregnant patients
- •7\.Previous procedures under SAB
