简要总结
This study aims to develop and test an intervention to promote IYCF practices among tribal mothers in The Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. A survey will be conducted among tribal mothers with children aged 0 to 23 months in The Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu to determine their level of knowledge, attitude, and practices related to infant and young child feeding. Also, key stakeholders and the mothers will be interviewed in-depth to understand their perspectives on IYCF. This data will be used to develop an educational intervention in the form of a short animated film on IYCF practices, a nutrition talk, and a tribal recipe book. These interventions will be delivered to the mothers, and their knowledge, attitude, and practices will be assessed after six months to determine the effectiveness of these interventions.

- •Mothers of tribal children aged 0 to 23 months in The Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu.
排除标准
- •Mothers who are unwilling to participate, those unable to participate due to physical or mental illnesses, and mothers with children having chronic illness or cognitive impairment will be excluded.

时间窗: Baseline knowledge, attitude and practices will be assessed at the beginning of the study from January 2024 to August 2024. These variables will be again assessed six months after the delivery of the intervention.(Intervention will be delivered from January 2025 to June 2025 & the anthropometric measurements will be taken from July 2025 to December 2025)

- The nutritional status(height, weight, MUAC) of infants & young children of all the tribal(populations across the district will be estimated.)
