Inclusion Criteria
Women from the age of 18 years, who have recently given birth;
Women who intend to breastfeed fully or partially for at least 3 months;
Availability of a freezer (-18°C)
Exclusion Criteria
Mothers of premature babies (< 2500 g, < 37 weeks of pregnancy);
Presence of type 1, type 2 or gestational diabetes mellitus;
Insufficient knowledge of the German language

Name Time Method Prospective recording of the concentrations of ucOCN and erucic acid in breast milk at different time points in the first three month postpartum (pp) (day 1-4 pp; day 7 pp; 4 weeks pp; 3 months pp).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Correlation of lifestyle factors such as diet and physical activity with ucOCN and erucic acid levels in breast milk (day 1-4 postpartum (pp); day 7 pp; 4 weeks pp; 3 months pp). Other potential influencing factors such as smoking, medication intake etc. are also recorded. Investigation of ucOCN and erucic acid levels in samples of industrially manufactured infant formula.
