Inclusion Criteria
patients posted for elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Age >= 18 years.
American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) class I and II patients.
Exclusion Criteria
Patients having renal insufficiency, cardiovascular insufficiency.
Alcoholism, drug abuse, physiological or other emotional problems that are likely to invalidate informed consent.
Patients with history of known allergy to bupivacaine.
Patients having bleeding diathesis/ anti-coagulants/ chronic analgesic medications.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Rescue analgesia or first postoperative analgesia was considerably increased compared to regular on site drug infiltration.Timepoint: Baseline then intraoperatively every 5 minutes then 2nd hour post op, followed by every 2 hours till 24 hours or till rescue analgesia given point.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1.Decrease in total intra-operative analgesia consumption. <br/ ><br>2. Incidence of postoperative nausea & vomiting. <br/ ><br>Timepoint: From the time of giving block to 24 hours of giving block.Intraoperatively every 5 minutes, vitals will be assessed. Postoperatively every 2nd hour, vitals & any events will be assessed.
