Inclusion Criteria

Clinically diagnosed patients of UTI with the help of subjective

and objective parameters.

Patients of either gender.

Patients in the age group of 20 to 60 years.

Patients who give written consent.

Non diabetic

Subjective criteria

It includes:

1. Dysuria

2. Frequency of micturition

3. Fever with or without chills

4. Suprapubic pain

Objective criteria

1. Urine: routine and microscopic.

2. CBC with ESR

Exclusion Criteria

Patients below 20 years of age.

Patients above 60 years of age.

Pregnant & lactating mothers.

Patients with diabetes mellitus.

Patient suffering from any congenital abnormality of urinary tract.

Patients suffering from renal failure or CKD.

Patients of obstructive uropathy.

Patients who have been taken prior antibiotics within 2 weeks

for the same.

Mentally retarded patients.

Patients with evidence of severe UTI.

Patients who fail to give consent.

Patients who fail to follow up
