The study is randomized cross over control trial to compare the retention rates of pit and fissure sealants placed using dental air abrasion and acid etching in children with in the age group of 6-9 years with pit and fissure caries on occlusal surfaces of first permanent molars that is conducted in vishnu dental college ,Bhimavaram. The outcome measures will be to assess the retention rates of pit and fissure sealant on first permanent molars at 6,12,18 months.

Inclusion Criteria
- 1.Children between 6-9 years of age 2.Completely erupted caries free maxillary and mandibular permanent first molars.
- 3.Absence of restorations or pit and fissure sealants on teeth.
- 4.Cooperative child and consent for treatment.
- 5.Children willing for follow up of 6,12,18 months.
Exclusion Criteria
- 1.Medically compromised patients with history of respiratory disease, mental and physically challenged patients.
- 2.Children allergic to latex.
- 3.Children participating in other studies.
