Inclusion Criteria
All children between 4 â?? 10 y of age, American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) status
1 and 2, undergoing routine surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Abnormal upper gastrointestinal anatomy
2.History of lower esophageal or gastric surgery
3.History of gastrointestinal disease (hiatus hernia, esophageal reflux, gastritis)
4.Recent upper gastrointestinal bleeding (within 1 month)
5.Ongoing treatment affecting gastric motility
6.Clinically significant kidney or liver disease
7.BMI >95th percentile
