- •Meeting DMS\-IV R criteria for dementia
- •meeting NINCDS\-ADRDA criteria for probable AD
- •clinical dementia rating scale (CDR) 0\.5 \- 2
Exclusion Criteria
- •Contra\-indication for or unwilling to receive treatment with cholinesterase inhibitors
- •major cerebrovascular disease (stroke)
