Inclusion Criteria

1. Age group of 18 years to 60 years.

2. Patients with minimum of 20 permanent teeth.

3. Plaque index score between 2 to 3.

4. Probing pocket depth >= 4mm for more than two sites.

5. Systemically healthy individuals.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patients with history of systemic or topical antibiotics use within the last 3 months.

2. Smokers and alcoholics.

3. Pregnant and lactating females.

4. History of oral prophylaxis or mouthwash use within the last 3 months.
