Inclusion Criteria
Adults aged 19-75 who presented with acute diarrhea without bloody stool within 48 hours
- Acute diarrhea is defined as having three or more shapeless stools in the past 24 hours and one or more of the following symptoms.
- Abdominal pain, excessive flatulence, nausea, vomiting, rectal urgency, or tenesmus
Exclusion Criteria
- pregnant or lactating women
- Persons suspected of serious complications due to acute enteritis (renal failure, metabolic acidosis, hypovolemic shock, heart failure…)
