- •Aged 18-80 years
- •ASA status 1 and 2
- •Non diabetic patients FBS less than 126mg/dl
- •surgery lasting for not more than 3 hours
- •elective surgery
排除标准
- •Diabetic patients and altered glucose tolerance test
- •pregnant patients
- •Allergic to dexamethasone
- •Refusal of consent
- •Patients on steroid therapy and immunosuppressant therapy
- •Any intraoperative adverse events
