1st arm: patients
1) Currently treated patient (inpatient, partial inpatient or outpatient treatment) at the time of recruitment
2) Place of residence within the catchment area

2nd arm: outpatient stakeholders
General criteria (obligatory)
1) Readiness for questioning
General criteria (either)
1) Direct or indirect role in recovery or (re) integration of patients in their social environment (e.g. employer)
2) Authority or institution interacting with patients, whereby psychological limitations are relevant (e.g. schools, employment offices)
3) Facilities or services that are directly involved in the care of people with mental illnesses (e.g. nursing homes and services, social psychiatric service)
4) Formal and informal groups whose main purpose is to promote and maintain the mental health of individuals or the general public
5) Groups or individuals who have a direct or indirect personal role in maintaining the health or (re)integrating patients with mental illnesses (e.g. local health politicians and foundations)
6) Resident general practitioner or specialist with, involved in the treatment of psychiatric patients directly or indirectly
Special criteria for informal groups:
1) For self-help groups and comparable associations: Association status or public appearance (social media, flyers) as a group with general accessibility
3rd arm: Former patients
1) No treatment at the Pfalzklinikum for 9 months
2) No more than three years without treatment
3) Readiness for questioning
1st arm:
Psychiatry (PPP)
1) The person is mentally incapable of participating in an interview (e.g. due to advanced dementia or acute psychosis).
2) Person does not have sufficient knowledge of the German language
3) Person has already been participated in the study in an alternative role as a relative or a parent
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (KJP)
1) A child or adolescent is mentally incapable of participating in an interview (e.g. due to a specific disability).
2) Adolescent (16 years or older) does not have sufficient knowledge of the German language
3) Caretakers of an adolescent or child under 16 years don't have sufficient knowledge of the German language
4) Child is under 4 years old
Gerontopsychiatry (GPP):
1) Depression or mild dementia: Based on the files or staff assessments, it cannot be assumed that a person is capable of participating in an interview (e.g., due to a specific disability) or does not have sufficient language skills for the interview situation.
2) Severe dementia: The patient's relatives cannot be assumed to have a sufficient understanding of the German language.
2nd arm: Outpatient stakeholders

3rd arm: Former patients

Name Time Method Implementation of a semi-structured interview and subsequent exploration of topics using qualitatively oriented content analysis and text mining. The aim is to access relevant topics and create a matrix of their relationships.
