Inclusion Criteria

- Male sex
- Age 18-30 years
- BMI 20-25 kg/m2
- Stable dietary habits and physical activity levels

Exclusion Criteria

- Family history of diabetes
- Medication use
- Allergic to salsalate
- Allergic to aspirin
- Alcohol intake during 4 days prior to the clamp
- Stomach ulcer
- Impaired kidney function
