Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I–II patients over 19\-years old who underwent a esophagectomy between January 2005 and December 2014 at Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Korea
Exclusion Criteria
- •a. pre\-diagnosed pulmonary disease or previous lung resection
- •b. acute or chronic renal disease
- •c. simultaneous surgery other than esophageal resection and anastomosis
- •d. re\-operation of esophagus
