- Brief Summary
The prevalence of enlarged fetal adrenal gland was 36.5 percent. Which was not significantly different among 3 types of DM. Two-thirds of GDMA2 and PGDM had poorly controlled glycemic level, and PGDM group had larger fetal adrenal than GDMA2 group. All enlarged adrenal gland fetuses significantly had neonatal hypoglycemia (p 0.016). Mean birth weight, incidence of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) admission, respiratory complications, and polycythemia among these 3 groups were comparable.
