Inclusion Criteria
Arthrodesis of the MTP-I joint using the anatomical angle-stable Medartis MTP-I arthrodesis plate with interposition of an autologous bone chip of the iliac crest in the period January 2012 to February 2019 in the orthopedics department of the MHH at Diakovere Annastift.
- In the control group MTP-I arthrodesis without bone chip grafting.
Exclusion Criteria
- Concomitant operations on the hindfoot, ankle or lower leg.
These criteria also apply to the selection of control patients.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary objective of the planned study is to evaluate the rate of pseudarthrosis after performing MTP-I interposition arthrodesis using a new MTP-1 arthrodesis plate and compare it to a matched-pair patient population.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Secondarily, the time to bony healing is to be determined. In addition, the subjective result on the part of the patient and possible complications are recorded. A foot pressure measurement is used to assess the extent to which the operated toe can again participate in weight-bearing.
