Inclusion Criteria
Patients with refractory septic shock defined as having a mean arterial pressure < 70 mmHg despite norepinephrine infusion > 0.2 mcg/kg/min
Exclusion Criteria
myocardial infarction < 6 months prior to study, pregnancy
