Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Cases posted for elective tonsillectomy or adenotonsillectomy surgeries in amala institute of medical
  • •sciences, Thrissur with in this particular duration of study.
  • •2\. ASA I or II.
  • •3\. Age between 2 to 12 years.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients not willing to participate in this study
  • •2\. Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine
  • •3\. Patients with anticipated difficult airway
  • •4\. Patients with developmental delay, mental retardation, attention deficit or hyperactive disorder
  • •5\. Patients with liver, renal or cardiac diseases
  • •6\. ASA III, IV, V and VI
